I also have dental phobia and have been referred to the local dental hospital - I have visit 5 on Friday next week - I have my work done under sedation (inhalation) and it makes a massive difference I am becoming really brave 0 so well worth it!

(and because it;s at the dental hospital it is all free - added bonus )

This is all VERY interesting, I can't even bear the thought of a dentist, didn't know the dental hospital deals with dentist phobics. I think you are both very brave going, because I can't!!!

I'll see if I can gather any 'supporters' to actually take me in!! Last time I had to be sedated BEFORE I left the house!!! Then I was put out for the actual extractions (5), but I have been told that they don't put you out anymore, so there is not a chance in this world that they will get me in there now

oh lynne, sorry to read this, I hate the dentist as well, but it sounds like you need the extra time and effort from the CDI,
did you bite the dentist in order to get shunted over there lol....

Shaona is CDI a normal thing then? I had never heard of it. No I didnt bite them just had major meltdown!! Like MAJOR!!

Rach Tooth is still there but is going to get work on it apparently they should be able to save it and prefer to try rather than take it out. Thursday is next appt.

Antibios now stopped still taking painkillers though. I also need work done on an upper back tooth and two front teeth.

We'll see!! Will wait and see how this goes with big broken back tooth.

Oh so sorry to hear you didn't make it through your appointment but at least there is another option and that might help you as they are better equipt to help people that have serious issues with dentists. It means you are not alone in this fear as there is a specific clinic for people who don't cope well with dentists. Wish they did that here and I may not have taken 4months to finally get a tooth pulled.
(((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) to you
