Unwanted guest!

I took a parcel in for a neighbour, earlier today..
I've just seen her come home so I took it over.. and guess what zipped inside the house whilst the door was open?

A bluebottle!

I thought all the pesky things were dead by now

That's one unwanted guest

that is so weird that you had one too.

I just told Steph about coming back from this morning's walk. Hoki ran to the kitchen table, stuck her head under and then cam to me looking all worried.

Wondering what I might find, I moved the chairs/boots etc and found....a half dead fly

Hoki has taken a dislike to them - in the summer if one came into the room, she'd try and climb on my knee!

(actually thinking about it, it was since the Dogsey walk when we all go stung by wasps - so perhaps her paranoia is understandable)

I can send you Stumpy though - she loves hunting flies - mind you, she doens't actually catch them, but she might herd it back out the door for you

Looks like Missy's going to have some entertaining to do

Actually she chased it and the pesky thing is in the bathroom now. The door is shut and the window open - hopefully he'll make the connection, or I shall take the hoover to him!

We had one just before Christmas, well it could have been two as I was certain I had it trapped in the porch and then it flew out...a few moments later it was buzzing around my head again.

We had said we thought it would be too cold for them, we haven't seen any more though, thank goodness

That is strange the other week I saw a big bee in the garden flying round.

I think it may have to be the hoover Pat they don't seem too understand getting out of the window not round here anyway.
