13 days old today and has opened his eyes, he's been on meds for two days now and is still snuffling but not as bad as yesterday. I'll try and get a photo in a bit, although he looks exactly the same to me. Lively little thing, he just tunnelled all the way down my hoody sleeve and back again in search of his dinner. He's going to be one confused little pup with me calling him Rudy and Charlie calling him Bruce. No clue where Bruce came from

Bruce Almighty he's reached a milestone now his eyes are open, nothing will stop him, and they'll have to treat him for this snuffling instead of ignoring him.

Why fostering a pup ? that could be a pup from 8 weeks old which is fairly normal practice. There is nothing common place about handrearing from birth as we can testify, getting up every two hours throughout the night to feed and ensure the pup goes to the loo is no easy task, we're sharing it and we're shattered. Yes we did it before with 4 day old pups so we knew what we were getting into but I can assure you there's no queue of volunteers willing to give up their Christmas and new year to raise a pup they had no hand in producing. If you're going to rename it hand rearing from birth might be a better description.

He's a very contented little pup, I tried to get a photo with eyes open but he wasn't having it.

In a couple of weeks time you'll be praying for him to go to sleep

I can imagine although this time round there's just the one, last time with 3 of them was a bit of a handful. Tucson will keep him entertained, she missed her calling she is very maternal or maybe just bossy

My girls appoint a Nanny to take over and it seems to happen about 4 weeks old, mum retires in the background, Nanny takes over the day to day stuff, manners etc. the older ones do the discipline and mum feeds them when required. So Tucson will be in her element with another little one to boss about
