what am i to do? Jack's eye is swollen and he is keeping it closed also it is red i have washed his eye with cammomila tea twice but it doesnt seem to help he keeps rubbing it poor boy should i continue to wash it every 30 minutes or should i take him to the vets? he is also very lethargic and feeling sorry for himself unlike a russell terrier

Maybe he was bitten on the walk. I would take him to the vet if it was me...... I couldn't even wait till morning, but then I am a total wuss ! Good luck - let me know what happens with him {{{hugs}}}

It sounds like an insect bite/sting. Eyes are delicate and can be easily damaged. I would get the vet to have a look - better safe than sorry.

I meant by an insect - there are still some daft wasps out there - they're a bit mental this time of year as well - I also so a hornet (eek) yesterday and they're nasty b*ggers !
