Zen absolute star at training, she was as good as some of the ones that had been in the class a lot longer. Can't believe it but 2 other dogs, round about the same age also gone due to cancer in the same week Cariad went.

June she is still with you like mine are with me. Don't try to stop the crying. It is a healer. I find myself crying when something reminds me of one's that I have lost years ago. So with you it will still be raw and to soon to stop. I'm sure everyone knows what I mean. Well done Zen. Sometimes June less is more with training. Love the pic tw.

Thanks Brenda, it was awful telling people who didn't know, but done that now. Zen needs very little input, she makes me look good. She has done stuff today that she has never done before like I have been working with her on it for months. Never blinked when the tunnel suddenly twisted in the wind, waited for me to straighten it, went straight through. Did a stay and recall through a line of other dogs, some she knew, some she didn't. Did a stop, then recalled her through a gate, did it like she'd been doing it for ever. Absolutely marvellous, would be great if she hadn't eaten a pair of trainers and made a start on my decent pair, but you can't have everything I suppose!!!

Hi Griff I see you joined in Feb 2005 and it was after that time but lot of it was PM's and such. I think Lynn will remember and Nippy Jen, and some others whose names I have forgotten

Conned us all and as I subsequently found out a good number of Australian members too. Probably why we don't have many members 'down under' now. Also why the site now has a strict rule about donations, funding, collections, etc. A messy business and I felt very sorry for the lady in Scotland who tried to help and got kicked and who also is not on Dogsey now.

I was cynical about humans before but I have become far more so after I would say more but it was a long time ago, it definitely won't happen again, and is best forgotten because as I said she's probably in jail now

Also I don't think the site retains threads more than a few years so you can't find it by doing a search on the name.

So all that time you were with her teaching her and it seemed like nothing was going in WELL it was, and she retained it, and just when you really needed her to do good, she did

I'm so pleased for you.

Very hard June having to tell people. There has been a lot of cancer recently in my breed to and young at that.
Well done to you and Zen see she does listen to you.
Yes Harvey I remember very well the China fiasco.
Better get a wiggle on griff Gorden down end of garden burning old paperwork. Very windy I was a bit worried about the smoke but being paper mostly and some straw added it is burning without making to much smoke and smoking the village out.

Great picture. I firmly believe that no dog will lie like that unless they 100% relaxed and have no worries (about dangers lurking or where their next meal is comming from). One of the great joys of dogs is that they lead a simple life and if these two main factors are certain the rest of the time is 'playtime'

I have found in our village people are fairly relaxed about bonfires, the couple behind us have had several while they've been clearing the overgrown paddocks prior to them bringing the horses in, no one has complained.

Neanderthal man would have likely threatened all sorts but since he's gone it's been so nice.

Incidentally I was talking to the new neighbours who bought his house, seem like nice 'normal' people. They told me they found some paperwork which showed that neanderthal man had demanded the parish council erect a sign prior to the cross roads to warn the traffic, so they did, he then caused a fuss 'cos he said it was on his land (Which it had to be, nowhere else it could go) so parish council had to take it down and then write to him to request permission to put it back up again My parents told me I should never speak ill of the dead but I reserve the right to over rule that in this case

Took the terrible two to Sapiston this afternoon 'cos Lara can go for a swim there. Just got through the gate and having checked that there were no sheep in field we turned towards the river and on the bank were two very big swans. Mummy swan backed of into the water and that's when I saw she had three little cygnets with her.

Daddy swan stood his ground and made a lot of hissing noises. Casey looked but didn't go near, but Lara who desperately wanted a swim was looking for a way past him

Well I was able to grab her (and Casey) and we made our way to where there was another access point for the river and Lara had her swim there.
