Sad Puppy

Me and OH went for a picnic last night to the lake where Buster loves to swim (he is now also a pro diver its hilarious)! There was this couple with another dof=g and they were holding a Boxer pup who was only 5-6 weeks!

Oh my god now I am know I had Buster when he was 5 weeks and i realise now he was 2 young and would never do it agian so have learnt from this but this poor baby was squaking and tiny surely it should not have been out.

Yes I had Buster 2 young but he never went out until he was 12 weeks and had all his injections!

I was well mad last night there no way that pup should have been out especially when it was with 2 others dogs!

IMO the pup was way too young to have left its mother, if it had been the correct age, then actually taking it out and carrying it, I dont think is a bad thing, so long as its not placed on the floor or in contact with other dogs till its imunisation is complete, at the right age, taking it out can help in early socialisation, and getting it used to the big wide world, so long as there are no bad experiences.

When we got Takoda and still had to give Keena her walks, we didn't want to leave him home alone so we put him in a backpack and carried him out with us, with his head and shoulders peeking out...lol...That was around 8 weeks. Once his vaccinations were finished he could then walk.

You would need to be very carefull with a 5 to 6 week old puppy.
