Max - poorly Boxer - sad news

Firstly, I would like to thank all of you who had offered any advice as to the problems we were having with Max, the rescued Boxer with severe stomach problems.

As I said in one of my replies, Max went in to the vets for surgery, neutering and repair to one eye, the other eye to be repaired later.

Unfortunately, when under heavy sedation, the vet examined Max more thoroughly and it was found that he had advanced bi-lateral glaucoma. The decision was taken by ourselves on advice from our vet to put Max to sleep to stop any further suffering. He went to sleep in someone's arms who loved him.

It is a testament to Max's excellent nature that he showed no signs of being in pain or discomfort and was always loving and gentle. God Love you Max.
