Alfie is booked in for his first proper haircut!

Booked in for next week, although I am working so my Mum is taking him and picking him up for me!

I hope he behaves!

How did your dog react the first time they had to get left with a groomer? Lol

Kammi Luckily I have never had that problem because I have always trimmed my own dogs.
I have also trimmed dogs for other people and most were very good and enjoyed the attention ..

I routinely trim my dogs but a couple of times a year I send them to my local groomer who is also a friend to do nails, ear hair etc etc. The first time they were both pretty good, apart from when she bathed one of them he tried to climb out and actually managed to get his front legs round her neck and soaked her. He is also very vocal when he's there but happily trots in when we arrive so its not because he is stressed. I'm sure you sweet little dog will be fine and he'll soon get use to visiting the groomers. Before and after photos please!

I was asked to get ty used to having a bath (which he was) before taking him back as he screamed the place down and the salon had neighbours i then done him myself for a few years, then found a groomer who done it in her house and he was an angel for her, she used to look forward to him coming (even the boyfriend who i had never met, once answered her phone and at the mention of his name, new who i was talking about)

i then moved through to glasgow and tried him in a salon again, he ermmm doesnt like salons shall we put it that way, he pee'd and poo'd all over her salon even though i had him to the toilet just before he went in, he screamed the place down, she had to phone me to go and stay with him, just so she could finish him off and was willing to take him again if i stayed with him i just wont put him back in a salon enviroment again as he obviously doesnt like it, so i do him myself now and if he really needs to be done by a proffessional, i will find a groomer who works from home, or comes out to you

I will definitely get before and after pics!!

I have "groomed" him myself until now, but it is never very neat so decided to take him to see if there is a big difference! Plus they will do his nails which I really don't like doing lol.

Lisa that sounds awful, I hope Alfie isn't that bad!
Especially as I will be at work so mum would be the one that would have to go back lol

He will probably make a fuss when he is left, but he will probably settle soon enough and take in all the attention, and will then be a surprise for me too for when I get in from work!
