Axel's big house move!

Well, Saturday was the big day! We sent him to the dog walkers for the day so both he and we could relax - stressful times! Had amazing family and friends who helped us and we moved 95% of our stuff on Saturday. Sunday was spent cleaning old rental property and today I handed back the keys. I can now officially start unpacking, oh, and the internet got set up today!

How did Axel settle? Well, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves My only worry is when we start leaving him. We were going to leave him in the big kitchen, but it's FAR too hot in there for him, so living room it is. We'll have to block off the couches, but he'll have his lovely bedded area to settle and we've put a dog gate by front door so it's a similar set up to before only without couch access.

Axel checking out the lawn...

Trying a different approach

Attempting pleading eyes instead

Finally allowed to check out the grass

Axel and his domain

Chilling in his new bedded area

Clearly distressed by the whole thing

Finally a garden he can relax in

"Can I come in now please?"

Just caught his first roaching session!

So far he's been really good. Some following around, but mostly he's been sleeping. So hopefully he'll be fine when left, I'll take him for a walk before and we'll see how he does on the webcam - wish us luck!

Perfect, just perfect. Dogs are amazing, as long as he has you....

Now just wait for him to delight you with his response to the new arrival, it's going to be wonderful xxx
