Boxer needing a home

I have copied the following from bisceter freecycle as I am hoping it will help the boxer find a loving and safe new home. I am not the one offering I am just passsing on the information to try and help.

I am reluctantly having to find a new home for my boxer called sasha.
This is due to jealously over the arrival of our son, i have perservered
with this but it is getting no better and not fair on either dog or
baby! you need to be aware of some issues, she is approx 7/8 years old
so needs a loving home for her senoir years however she still thinks she
is a pup! I rescued her at the age of 4 as she had been soley used to
breed and had had at least 4 litters, i was adviced by a vet not to have
her spade as trauma could kill her so she has not been spade. She is
arthritic in back legs so cannot go out for walks as leaves her
extremely stiff and sore. She also has dry skin on her back which due
to sctratching can leave her coat looking rather patchy. To look at she
looks underweight but as with all boxers they are a muscle build so the
porblem being as she cannot go out for walks its lack of muscle rather
than lack of food, she eats very well. She has been fantastic with my
older children who are now 10 and 7 just will not accept the new baby.
Excellent guard dog as any movement near your door and she will bark. If
you have any questions or are interested in offering a loving home
please getin contact,
tigerice54@yahoo.com

regards, louise.

I feel for the dog, although the way it reads to me, they are trying to re home a middle aged dog with medical issues, because they aren't prepared to get her treatment.
Why the flaky skin, stiff joints etc, what have they done for her to make her general health better?

Maybe i am a cynic but i had 2 boxers before my kids were born and both dogs, accepted the kids as babys right from the start.

Seems to me they either can't cope or don't want to make the effort with her anymore, either way i hope the dog gets a great home and her health is taken care off.
