That's a really sad story. You get the idiots who shout about how bad dogs/animals are, but look at what humankind do! Our own species, for gods sake! Humankind to far worse that what animals do, and the thing is, some of the things animals do is what is natural to them. I didn't think murder, rape, stabbings etc were in the "breed standard" for humankind, but I am beginning to wonder if that is true for some folk! It makes me really angry.
