NVQ's???

my plan this year is to go uni and do hospitality management,,, i think i want to run my own pub (for now - subject to change!!) but i have found out that where i work (pub) people are doing nvq's in hospitality while they work..

i only do part time- (16 hours) so can i still do this??

n what is an nvq n what does it involve??? i will speak to my boss tonight about it but i really need to know whats involved if i can do it before i look like aplank

im hoping i can do it where i work as they only do it at their restaraunt,,,,,

n also it should be free where i work.... - just not sure cos im only part time,,

n im gutted im not qulalified as theres a post for assistant manager which is what i want to do in a couple of years!!
