Lennox's case came up
In Court today 29-03-11*

The Belfast District Judge ruled that the animal, Lennox, should be put down after hearing it posed a danger to the public if let out without a muzzle.

Its owner, Caroline Barnes, was given a conditional discharge for keeping a dangerous dog, and has been told to pay all charges incurred while kenneling Lennox for the 11 months.

Lennox's owners have two weeks to appeal this decision

The story should be on the main news world wide why won't big news agancy take up his story the judges mind needs changing poor poor dog and his family

How can a dog that has NEVER shown any aggression be classed as a danger to the public?

The world has truly gone mad........

This just highlights the complete mockery that is the DDA. As Vicki says, a dog who has never shown aggression to anything, is now facing a death sentence. How on earth can this be right. In his family home Lennox lived with 2 other dogs, one very small, and his best friend is the families young disabled daughter who he adores.

There is a petition running for Lennox and if you search his name it will come up. This must be stopped.

The video is heart wrenching, the conditions Lennox is being kept in are appalling. Belfast comes under UK laws, not Irish. Lennoxs' litter brother was deemed not to be of pitbull type when he was seen by the dog warden, BCC has since lied and said his brother was never seen by anyone, BUT, the warden actually left the owners with a Dogs Trust voucher to have him neutered. Lennox is neutered and microchipped and is not in the least aggressive to man or beast, what more can they do, Im disgusted by the judges ruling

Shocked at the outcome,disgusted with the judge and with BCC.

If any of our animals were kept in those conditions we would be prosicuted under the animal welfare act.
