Kira's ill :(

yesterday Kira was in the vets to get her 2nd injection and all was fine ,but this morning when she got up she was trying to be sick and her tummy was gurgling and she hasnt eaten today yet
I spoke to the vet on the phone and he said she will prob be ok and to try to tempt her with chicken and rice or scrambled eggs
I have to call him again if she is still like this tomorrow morning and take her in ,and I have my driving test tomorrow too

I´m sorry to hear that

Was the injection a simple vaccine or threatment for something?
And how old is she?

Has she eaten anything while you were out with her, if so, that might of disagreed with her.
It could just be a mild reaction to the injection, or she could of just picked up a tummy bug.

Hopefully she'll eat something a little later. I know with Luca, if she's feeling out of sorts, a little fish and potato works well.

amts it was her second vaccine ,she is just over 10 weeks old

the vet dosent think it was the vaccine ,he said the one they use is very safe and its not likely to cause this ,he thinks it is prob a tummy bug

Wolfie I did go to my mums house after the vets and most of her garden isnt covered by the outside light so she might have eaten somthing yuky without me seeing

she did try to eat her usual food that was still in her dish earlier but she just brought it back up again

Carole thanks for wishing me luck with my driving test with all this worry I'll need it

Providing you puppy is ok tomorrow I would not worry but if it is still poorly then a visit to the vet would be a good idea just to check. An upset tummy in puppies is something that happens quite often and providing they are not being sick all the time and becoming dehydrated. Have you changed her food of late?

Good luck with your driving test, try and get the puppy sorted before you go.

It could be a number of things, but as Thorndell has said, providing she's not dehydrated, I wouldn't worry to much.

Most Inuits/Utonagan's have sensitive tums. So it's worth bearing that in mind.

I hope she starts to pick up soon and good luck with the test tomorrow.

well tonight she had some chicken and rice and kept it down then a while later she was looking hungry again so I gave her some scrambled eggs and she kept them down too
She has started to play with Benji again and her tummy isnt making noises anymore so I think she is better

Right now she is annoying Benji trying to roughhouse play as he is trying to sleep so I think she is back to normal

Thanks everyone I was quite worried as she is still not fully covered by her jags till next week and she is still so young

Now I can start to worry about my driving test and while I'm away my friend is going to babysit the dogs so they will be fine, not sure about me on the test tho
