Nail clippers for larger breeds

Hi There,
I wondered if anyone (Groomers or otherwise) could recommended which are the best nail clippers for using on larger breeds with really big tough nails?
Thanks

It's also the type I use for my tiny minpin. I tried the 'guillotine' type but she is just far too 'flippy' and wriggly for those. You need a second or so to 'get them in place' and she doesn't really give you that second or so.

Also my vet uses the ones you've linked to. And I find it easier to be accurate with them.

I did however use the larger guillotine ones when I had a GSD but she was a lovely old bitch who'd basically let you do anything to her without complaint or trying to wriggle away.

Thanks Guys,
The ones I currently use are of this style, I'm not sure how long I've had them or what make they are but I am finding that they are not cutting so well. I wonder if they are just old and blunt or if they are actually not of the best quality? does brand matter? is "Showtech" a better quality clipper in general?

I would also recommend a dremel. I have had mine for years now. battery operated are convenient, I use rechargeable batteries in mine.

Yes I use FAST!! The faster it goes the quicker it works. Dogs dont seem to mind it at all. Even my "panicker" at having nails done never gives a care now.

I was trying to think of the name for that thing. I recall when I first joined this site everyone was raving about the Dremel. All I could think of was 'grinder' but I suppose it is a sort of grinder?

It's getting Bella to allow you to HOLD her paws in the first place that's the problem esp. the back ones. (She had a claw problem and has a memory like an elephant for anything that even slightly hurt her in the past - all become no go sites on her)
