Litter separated from mum

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone out there had any advice regarding the mental well being of a puppy if it is removed from mum at an early age. We are considering buying a Siberian Husky pup that is currently 9 weeks old. However, we're told that the dam's milk dried out approx 3 or 4 weeks ago, and she was separated from the litter at that time as they were hurting her when attempting to feed. Does anyone know if this will have had a detrimental effect on the pups, or their socialisation skills, or behaviour etc and if so, to what extent? Many thanks.

I'm not sure; I know ideally pups will stay with their mother and siblings for eight weeks, and should not be taken away prior to that time.

Do you know anything else about the breeder...? Have you actually met the pups and also the mother...? Were relevant health tests done on the sire and dam...?

I'm sure someone more experienced will be along to help soon

Shouldnt be an issue if the litter were together, at 5/6wks puppies can be totally weaned anyway.

hi

firstly a puppy would normally start to be weaned at 3-4 weeks anyway..they seem like they are amateurs..no one would leave their bitch with no escape from needle teeth anyway poor girl.
i would be concerned that parents had been health tested before hand..have they?
sibes are very people orientated so i wouldnt ness think their would be a problem.
