Sudden diarrhoea in 11 week old pup

Hi All,

I have a quick question - I may be being silly, but I know that a lot of you on here are experts when it comes to puppies!

I have a 11 week old labradoodle.

She went out to the garden this morning and had two normal poos (2nd a little looser than the first).

She has just had a bout of diarrhoea - as far as I can see, about 4 times in the space of an hour. She is still eating her food as normal and is drinking water. She is also still running around and playing.

Would it be best to just keep an eye on her over the next few hours and see how she does or should I take her straight to the vet?

She does try and eat everything and anything she can find so could it be that she has just eaten something that didn't agree with her?

Sorry for the long rambling post - just want to make sure my baby is OK!

Thanks

Tracy

it may just be something she has eaten if it lasts longer than a day or two pay a visit to the vet. have you changed her food? or has she had anything that she doesnt normaly have?

Thanks GSD,

She is on the same food (Royal Canine) and hasn't had anything that she hasn't had before. If anything she has had less treats as she has been eating all her meals and not really fussed about anything else.

Puppies can go downhill very quickly so if she is no better this afternoon I would pop her along to the vets this evening.

Thanks madmare (great name btw!)

She is asleep under the kitchen table at the moment and seems quite content.

I will keep an eye on her and see how she does up till about lunchtime.

Hi GSD and madmare,

Just to let you know that I took your advice and watched Molly all day. She is much better now and back to her normal self.

Thanks for being on the end of the keyboard for new mums like me!!

Thanks,

Tracy
