Wonky tail suddenly

Bit of an odd one.

Dougal has suddently, out of nowhere, has developed a droopy tail...it goes straight for a little bit, maybe a quarter of the length and then just droops...he's not in pain, and it isn't painful if you touch it. Just seems a bit odd that it's happened out of nowhere and isn't hurting.

Any ideas? Bit wary of taking him to the vets if it's not bothering him, but...

Thanks guys, just so weird and out of the blue.

Poor Dougal looks so funny with a droopy tail...he's wagging but the tail just seems to forget it's supposed to wag too.

If it is not back to normal by Wednesday you need to see vet.

Thankfully Dougals tail is back to normal and he is wiggling and waggling normally now

Thank you all for your advice and suggestions regarding his 'wonky tail'. I will know if there is a next time not to panic too much.
