This was lambs liver and it had been frozen (from Landywoods.)

Oh that explains it. First of all I am assuming it was at room temp. Also lamb liver is pretty thick and has a rich odor. Try beef liver or chicken livers.
Even HOttie, who has eaten raw since a puppy wont eat lamb liver.. I think ( I know it sounds stupid) Hottie thinks its not " fresh meat" because of the odor.

Yep,it had defrosted over- night,but u r right,it was pretty whiffy! Thought it was strange cos she`s not normally picky. Thanks for advice will try beef and chicken and let you know how it goes.

That's helped me also! Isla is not a fan of Liver, but will eat it if disguised by adding gravy or fed with another type of meat. It is Lambs Liver that I give her, so I'll try another type!
