Formby Beach

Hi All,

A friend and I took her 2 dogs (1 x female black & tan GSD/Collie and 1 x male White GSD) to Formby today as it's one of the rare beaches that have little/no restriction on dogs.

Anyway, here are a few piccies taken. Not great as they wouldn't stay still for long enough.

We personally didn't have a great time of it although the day definitely turned out to be eventful. Anyway, the dogs seemed to enjoy themselves so I suppose that's the main thing, as it was for them that we went.

Shame you didn't have a good time even with it being eventful but at least the dogs seemed to enjoy it
Perhaps this weekend wasn't the best time to come with the air show being on and getting stuck in traffic etc

Aw how come you didn't enjoy it? Why didn't you take your guys?

I used to meet up with a few members from a GSD forum at Formby every so often. It is a lovely beach.

I have lots of friends in that area, been there a lot

I must be very lucky, because I've never really been to a beach that has been restricted?!!! Well, areas have been, but there's always been a bit to walk on!

Lovely pics

Well the day itself was OK but I was in a fair amount of pain. Ended up unconcious in the car for about an hour, carted off to hospital when we got back by ambulance to find I had a broken rib and partially collapsed lung.

We could onl realistically get 2 of our dogs in the car at any one time and we had been planning this for over a year now. Nieko has what we think is the start of CDRM and so we wanted to take him last October time, but didn't get around to it. Both Nieko and Daisy are hopeless on their own so we always try to keep them together. Makes life a lot easier for us and them.

Yesterday I went back to my GP (by force as it happens thanx to my friend, Susie) to find I have pleurisy starting. Fantastic!
