Looks like it has given up the ghost, typically when I have just 2 weeks to go 
Fortunately I have my Vodaphone Mobile Internet Modem USB stick thingey which, despite me getting very irrate that it wasn't working at all until I realised I'd put the sim card in the wrong way 
, is actually working well on a very low signal, just makes the connection a bit slow! So hopefully will still be able to surf the net
