for TEA tonight i went to Nando's and it was scrummy.

In sheffield the evening meal is know as TEA, altho some of the posher parts refer to it as TEA if you eat it at home or DINNER if you go to a restaurant

THE EVENING MEAL IS CALLED TEA TIME!!! Dinner is just soooo american!

Ahhhhh but if dinner is 'american' then why is roast dinner (a british traditional meal) called dinner? ahhhh......

Cos you eat it at dinner time - that's easy - if it was at tea time it would be a roast tea

so true foxy! Roast dinner/sunday dinner is what you have at dinner time, roast tea/sunday tea is when you have it in the evning!
