I had this with Ellie, I lost count how many she had but luckily my vets specialise in these. Each time one appeared, the smaller the better, they were taken off with very wide margins. If the margins are wide enough eventually the lumps stop appearing, Ellie's did.

Greenwich University done a study on lumps, I will send you a copy of the results, also I was contacted by someone who was doing research into Staffies and the amount of lumps they are getting but seem to have lost who it is.

Forget about her may be with you in 2 years time, if the margins are wide she will be with you a lot longer, Ellie had 18 months free of lumps and died of something else, she was 15 years old and had a tracheotomy in.

That's hopeful. The only trouble is the worst one was on her hock....so there's not much room for margins there. 😁 I'd be interested in any research you can find thanks....and any Reiki. Xx

Oh, NO! Girl this made me soooo sad. Two years max? That's so horrible... especially since I know your dogs always live a long, long time.

She's only 6 so it's even sadder. Don't give up on Tonks, I know she'll live as long as a dog could live. Good luck and BIG huggies and licks from all of us.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks Myra. It is a shock especially, as you say, we've always had long living dogs.

Tonks doesn't know there is anything wrong, just because she has these lumps doesn't mean she won't have a long life.

The quicker lumps are are taken off the better, don't, do biopsies on them, get them off. According to my vet they can stop if they are taken off ASAP with wide margins. Ellie came into a pound with 2 massive tumours hanging off her, the rescue had them taken off. One was on her front leg.

Run your hands over her every day, when there is a lump have it taken off ASAP, Ellie had groups of them which all came up together and they did stop.

That's an encouraging post from Mattie - I really hope things turn out to be not as bleak as they seem.
