Little Daisy - 9 year old girly Jack Russell
Little Daisy - 9 year old girly Jack Russell
Daisy came into rescue after living in the same house all her life. She was living with 5 other terrier bitches, which we think was asking for trouble in the first place, and there had been a few scraps. The last one, even though they did not see who started it, resulted in Rosie being taken to the vets to be put down as they thought nobody would want her at her age!! The vets refused and the owners agreed to sign her over. A guardian angel was watching over her that day and we say that because Daisy we can only describe as a sweet heart and far from being dominant with other dogs, she appears terrified of them. It's still early days because she was so stressed when she came in as she had been at the vets for nearly a week while they looked for a place for her.
Daisy has now gone into a quiet foster home where she is the only dog and has now started to relax and this super sweet little soul has emerged. She walks so well on the lead and settles down at night with no problem. She has been well looked after and trained. We think that if Daisy could speak she would say she would love a home where she can curl up with you at night on your bed, spend her days with you pottering around the garden and house with some lovely walks thrown in.
Because of the reason why she came in and how frightened she appears to be of other dogs, we would like her to be homed as an only dog. We have spoken with her previous owner who has confirmed that she is not good with cats but apparently has lived with rabbits and guinea pigs and does not take any notice of them. She appears to be scared of dogs out on walks but we are hoping this will calm down as she bonds with her foster mummy and gets more confident. We think she has been bullied.
Daisy is fine with visitors and is quick to say ‘hello’ and enjoys a fuss. She is a very gentle little soul and does not look her age.
Daisy has been spayed, is fully vaccinated and chipped. We have also wormed and flea treated her.
Daisy is currently living in Stroud, South Gloucestershire.
