yeah i have always been told to starve a dog for 24 hours after sickness or the runs so their stomach can have a rest

yeh thats the medicine. hmmm, its only for sickness tho. She seems a bit better now, she is playing with her new squeaky ball. so im hoping thats it now! if she still has runs tomorrow do u think she needs antibiotics aswell

But she only had vomiting when you took her tho, didn`t the dire/rear start after you`d been to vets?

no she had diaorreah at the vets aswell, all over the table infact ops:

Ohhhh dear don`t supposed its the first time its happened to your vet sort of goes with the job
A lot of times the body will just expel these bug on its own without help of a/bs etc. So hes probably just giving her chance to get over it herself, thats why hes said keep an eye on her & see how she goes. Wait & see now & try keeping her quiet & with a bit of luck she`ll get over it without a/bs, don`t be in a rush to feed her till tomorrow tho, snorri gave a good link, try & have a read

ah well shes already had some chicken under instruction from the vet and hasnt thrown it back up. so fingers crossed she will recover a bit more tomorrow. shes still lying around sad

They really pull on the heartstrings when they`re ill don`t they?
Not to worry, if she`s eaten she`s eaten.
You could put some honey in her water bowl, about a teaspoon or 2, let her sleep it`ll help her recover & I`m sure she`ll pick up soon
