I shove it all in a blender together, and I use a baking tray with sides that aren't even 1" high!
It always turns out fine

Liver-cake is Ozzys big favourite, sometimes I use little cubes of cheese (but not much of it in case he has a tummy upset). He loves cut-up hot dog sausage too.

I used to cheat a bit when doing heelwork for obediance by bringing some chicken mince with me (this will gross some readers out lol) only enough though to be the size of a golf ball, and practise before hand with the dog and giving him some, I'd keep it in my left hand so by the time I was in the ring he'd have eaten it all whilst practising, but my hand would still smell great ! He'd be paying very close attention to my left hand hoping some more mince would be in there that he could have ! That was before I used clicker training though and now I only use a ball or something in my hand when practising heelwork. But I'm going off the subject. Mine adore Liver cake but hubby was a bit grossed out when I blizted the liver in the blender , even though I gave it a thorough wash out, and had a smoothie for breakfast the next morning. He said he couldnt stop seeing the liquidised liver in the blender

I'm a bit of a meanie now and dont make it that often, I tend to just buy the liver already cut into sizeable peices and cook them in a slow oven for about 2 hours, when they're dry I just cut them up and there's less mess that way. Plus I dont know how long liver cake keeps for ? I have heard of fish treats being used before but can never find any does anyone else use them ?

I tend to use tripe sticks and the Bob Martin jerkey when I'm training. Being retrievers though mine arent that fussy, so I could feed them their own biscuits that they get for dinner and they'd still be interested, I dont have two dogs, I have two mini-pigs
