Hoping you are back and they have managed to give you some decent pain relief.

Hi guys - A&E were not much help. All they did was confirm that it's muscular, and offer me a pair of crutches

As I had Baz to lean on, and Metis (the physio place) is just across the road a bit, I decided to go there and see if they could offer me a session immediately.

They did - I believe I cried almost all the way through it.

It turns out it's not my hamstring, but a deep calf muscle injury, and I think it's connected to my Achilles tendonitis.

Anyway, I'm home now, have another session Wednesday at 1.30, and although I'm very sore, I'm now a little hopeful. In the meantime, I have to rest it, keep it elevated, and use ice/heat packs to relieve the pain.

I shall be calling the surgery tomorrow to get a sick certificate. There's no way I can "do" work at the office.

Thanks for being there, my dear friends x0x

A&E only offered me crutches. TBH, I wondered why I had bothered........
I'll try my "usual" ones in a minute. I'm going to put a hottie under the knee, which, I'm hoping, may help (as the ice pack didn't).

Not so good on the A/E front then
Try frozen peas as an ice pack-they kind of "mould" round the leg and it is sometimes better than a conventional ice pack.
You def need to rest though-better stock up on ben and jerry's.
Hope you feel better soon xx
