Morning Dogsey daily thread (Tuesday).

Morning everyone. Very chilly but dry still could do with it being dry and breezy all day have bedding to wash and dry.
Up early Gorden needs to be away by 7.30 this morning.

Eileen I hope those fingers aren't too sore today and that poor little Lacey is ok after running into the lawn mower.
Gordon that's very good news about your kidney function improving so well.
Lorraine sounds to me you are still running about too much you are also not well and could do with some pampering.

I scrolled back through the daily thread and noticed Jenny's absence as mentioned by Sally. Hope your ok Jenny or that mum is as I now you were visiting yesterday.
Hope everything is ok with Helena too you were also very quiet. Hopefully you were having a lovely weekend.

Hope everyone is well and doglets too.

Morning Lynn and everyone

Raining here this morning, but milder, much rather have the cold, frosty sunshine though. Will be going up along the top this morning cos the tide is all wrong now for us early mornings.

I was quiet last night cos I was on the phone most of the evening (and you know how my phone calls can go on a bit ) and I think Jenny has visitors this week, so probably won't be around either, not sure, but I think that's what she said.

I haven't caught up on the DAD scene yet, I'm saving that for my 2nd cuppa.

I'm going to sort all my clothes drawers out today, put away my thick winter jim jams, chuck out lots of stuff that I never wear, do a defrag in the wardrobes too. I'm thinking of moving Zena's big bed into the little recess in the hall that goes into Dave's bathroom, cos it's opposite the kitchen, and I'm hoping if she wants a bit of comfy sleep during the night she will slope into it. I hate the fact that she sleeps on that hard kitchen floor It's such a light bed this one, I can just move it back to my bedroom when Dave returns. This way, I can shut my bedroom door, and save that window from being Zena'd when the postman walks across my front lawn

Hope everyone is ok this morning, Moyra hope those gums are settling down and that the pain has totally gone now.

Eileen, what have you done to Lacey there I haven't caught up, but I do hope she's ok (((hugs)))

Enjoy your day everyone, I'll probably pop in later when I'm bored with clothes sorting.

Morning Lynn and all,

I had quite a good nights sleep last night, apart from getting up once for the loo, but I still feel really tired. Still once I finish about 2pm today I am off till Thursday morning. Proper time off that will be nice.

Lynn looking at the forecast I don't think the rain is going to make it as far as us so we are in for another nice dry day, so your washing should dry. We are lucky living in the dryest part of England our little corner misses so much. Just hope the forecast is right today as it nearly reaches us and then turns back.

H, Good luck with the blitz on the clothes.

Hope everyone else ok and I suppose I had better get a move on. Roll on 2pm.

Morning Lynn, Helena and fellow members,

Thanks Lynn and Helena. I didn't get back on yesterday as Helena is spot on, we've got a guest staying. Mum was so confused but happy when I visited her yesterday, which is all that matters now really.

I started to read through last night's thread and got as far as Moyra surviving the dentist (I hope you managed some sleep last night) and your gums are starting to settle down (((hugs))).
I've got to catch-up because I have no idea if Lona managed to be a suitable tease yesterday or not. Also I'm sorry to read comments this morning that little Lacey ran in to the lawnmower ..... I trust it wasn't going .... I hope she's OK.

It is pouring with rain and has been since I went out with the dogs around 6.15. The dogs have their annual boosters this morning so I'll be rushing around again and then must do a food shop so that I can at least give out guest some lunch

I hope you all enjoy your day and see you later .... not sure when though.

Morning Helena, Bev and Jenny and Em.

Helena good luck with all the clothes sorting we shall send out a search party if you are gone too long in case you have got lost in the wardrobe.
Morning Bev I have everything crossed the weather stays dry here then. I did hear the forecast say it should be dry in East Anglia.
Hows mum ?

Morning Jenny glad mum is doing well and enjoy your time with your guest.
Sorry Moyra forgot to say I hope the mouth isn't too far this morning and that you got a good nights sleep.

I am taking mum to the hospital on Friday to see the specialist. It has come to light that she is refusing the op mainly because she won't go into hospital and leave my dad.
She doesn't know it yet but when the specialist calls her in I am going to get up and go in with her. I need to know everything we face. I know its not going to be good, but mum is keeping a lot from us, so I have questions.

Having had a quick ketchup on yesterday's thread, Moyra - I hope your gums are not too sore today. Gordon - good news about your kidney functions. Eileen you twerp, but I hope those ouchie fingers are not so bad that you cannot type - poor little Princess running into the lawnmower - I hope you kissed the bit she bumped better. Not sure if I missed anything else as I have forgotten already.

Lynn - I hope it is dry and breezy for your washing to dry outside.

Helena - I also have to have a good clothes sort out but the trouble is I cannot find anywhere that wants new and almost new clothes and no way am I going to put them in the "rags" bin.

Bev - only a short day for you for a change and then tomorrow off - I hope you enjoy your time off.

Jenny - glad to hear that your Mum was happy when you visited her yesterday. Enjoy your guest. How long is he/she staying for?

Emma - not long now until your big day!

- I did not manage to get to bed before midnight in spite of all my good intentions and then it was an up and down night but I managed another couple of hours after the alarm went off so do not feel as tired as I have been. It will be a lot better once my neighbour gets the weed spraying done because this hayfever is driving me nuts. She has now said it will have to wait as she has to buy a new large gas cylinder [not just a refill] to replace the one that was stolen.

I think I will have to raid Da Booga's piggy bank and get Nir to come and do it as the weeds and grasses at the side have now reached the roof of The Shack, and at the back they are half way up my windows.

Right - must buzz across to the macolet for f&v although I will have to wait until Da Booga has had enough sunbathing and comes in, as she looks so relaxed and I do not want to disturb her!

Good morning everyone - well when I say Good it is in the broadest sense of the world - for tis back to normal up here at Chateau Gord rain by the bucketful and swirling mist. I thought we had been having it too good recently and it seems that I for one was lulled into a false sense of security. Of course if I think about it the weather usually takes a turn for the worse about this time as lambing is just about to start. Although I don't have a particular fondness for sheep in general, life for them is very hard up here and I cannot help but feel sorry for the little ones that have to start their lives in such adverse conditions. The Memsahib was for many years an upland shepherd and I have to keep an eye on her in Spring or the kitchen would be full of cardboard boxes with bleating contents, that kick up a right old fuss if you are a second or two late with their bottles! Saving lambkins is one thing but then they get given a name and so obviously you AREN'T GOING TO EAT THEM! They then run around for years being an absolute b* nuisance and eating you out of house and home destroying gardens etc in the process. As you can see I speak as one who has suffered the vagaries of sheep ownership in the past and have no wish to repeat this mistake. I will say, however that as babies they are hugely engaging and sadly hard to resist for a Mem that can go broody at the drop of a hat. So it's of out into the elements with dingoes in tow. I send my sincere best wishes to anyone who is feeling below par for whatever reason, and good luck to those members who are to plunge into wardrobes, attend hospitals or see the dreaded vet! Bye fer now.
