18 month old Whippet cross
Sally
Sally came to our branch in December 05. A very scared, thin and timid little girl who had spent her last 7 days in a pound. She is under 2 years old.
When I first met Sally, she was very nervous and hand shy. We took her into the academy and settled her into a bed as well as gave her some food and water. Within 10 minutes of being left, she had uprooted the lot. Shredded newspapers and bedding, upturned her bed and bowls. So with this, we immediately knew this was one lady who didn't like to be left.
In time however, she has slowly overcome her seperation anxieties and with the company of another dog she has found comfort.
Sally has gained weight and is fit and healthy. She has not been spayed and had her season late december. We will expect Sally to be neutered immediately after adoption and will provide a voucher to cover the cost.
Sally has been vaccinated, wormed and flea treated.
We wouldn't recommend Sally to go into a home where there are small children or children who do not know how to deal with an excitable dog as she can nip. We are currently working with Sally on this and it is expected that her new home will continue with her training.
Sally has not been cat tested and as a precaution we would not recommend her being homed with cats or small animals which require an outdoor run/hutch.
