Lynn, this period is the hardest, Ollie has gone but his presence will be around you for a while, and I don't think it would be easy to take another dog in and give it the attention it would need. The time will come, you can be sure, but as others have said try to remember all the good times with Ollie and then at some point in the future you'll know when you can have another dog.

When the time is right, the right dog will find you. Until then, give yourself as much time as you need.

Its such an empty feeling when you get the ashes back & hold them. They are the essence of what he was but not him. He has gone on to that lovely place with the angels free from his earthly body. When the times right you will know.

Hugs. xx

You won't know till you meet him. Hope it goes as you wish. Will they try him with children before you get there. Although if in kennels that may not be a true test, as kennels make dogs unsure anyhow. Or is he in a home being fostered?
Its a gut feeling. As I say hope it works out for you.

I keep popping onto many tears to see what is going on with Miles. He has been reserved. I really hope it all works out for him I am sure he is a lovely boy.

I am a bit sad that my heart is not ready yet but I am very happy for Miles.
