What is yours scared of ?!

Its just started.....the rumbles of thunder in the distance! My Vizsla is almost glued to my side as I type and shaking like a leaf already. Bless him, he is scared of thunder and scared of really windy weather so I have to either take him everywhere with me for the day or make sure someone is here to sit with him for reassurance.

What is your dog scared of and how do you cope with it?

Apparently we had a big thunderstorm in the night but I never heard a thing & I guess Tilly wasn't bothered either. We had one last week & she just lifted an ear
She is scared of her squeaky space hopper toy & a rubber chicken when it's new (although after time it becomes her best friend )

Katie isnt keen on thunder either or fireworks, altho last Halloween wasnt too bad. If its before bedtime pull curtains & turn tv up during day turn tv up. During night thunder, usually end up with them on the bed! Dont take them out when fireworks going off. Thankfully never been caught out with them during thunder

Cherry's scared of big dogs

We handle this by keeping her away from them and letting her socialise with small dogs!

She does have some nice, calm, big doggy friends that she mixes nicely with though.

He he-that's funny! You reminded me that Parker is scared of snowmen too! Someone made a whole family of them on the park once and he just stood there about 30 feet away with his hackles up growling. I took hold of his collar and walked him near so he could see what they were and he was ok then!

Simon is petrified of loud noises nearby, but thankfully not thunder or fireworks. The smoke alarm turns him into a quivering wreck though.

Jake is getting over his fear of the hairdrier, but is scared of the hoover and lawn mowers, strimmers...

All night we were up with Harley bark bark bark, he hates thunder, we tried him in the garden, kitchen hall but he just barks and passes up and down fast.
We ended up with him barking in our bedroom with the door shut, we tried to comfort him but he just carried on barking.

Jenzi and Tashi aren't really scared of anything I don't think. Yiannis will make a lot of noise about nothing in general (abit like a cow ) and Zane is terrified of spiders, particularly the ugly big garden spiders that like to come into the house around October time.

Ted dosen't like thunder, fireworks or bird scarers, like Velvetboxers we just turn the tv up and close the curtains with thunder and fireworks and unless its going directly overhead he's ok with that. We have been caught out a few times when walking with fireworks though and once with lightening although i think i was more scared that time making a dash across the dunes to get back to the caravan as it was coming directly overhead, i quite like lightening storms but from behind a window

He's also scared of hot air balloons but luckily we don't have to many of those about. Also a couple of stone lions we had to pass once He had his hackles up and was trying to get as far away as possible
