Barking in sleep

Okay can anyone tell me why dogs bark in their sleep?

Jasper has started doing it quite a lot lately and he's never done it before. At first i just thought nothing of it but yesterday, last night and again today he's done it everytime he's gone to sleep

Cassy does it every day not so much a bark but a noise that sounds like oof, oof and her whole body shakes sometimes I can see her eyes moving and lots of muscle twitching. The vet told me she was most probably dreaming and that it wasnt anything to worry about.

Sorry I couldnt be more help.

He hasn't done that. It's real bark.

I know what u mean about the eye's rolling and the muscle twitching, Tam used to do it all the time. It got quiet scary, even Jas would move away from her

yeah definitly dreaming...If it looks like Keena is having a bad dream I just put my hand on her gently to calm her. But it was cute the other day, I knew she was having a happy dream because she started wagging her tail hard...lol...so I let her carry on with that one!

Staffy regarding crossposting (there was a section about this in the off chat page).

The odd thing is somebody has posted a message on the bull ring about their dog doing this in their sleep if it has eaten cheese. It was posted like 5 mins ago and after I replied I thought hang on......

Perhaps it is just a coincedence...

Tam did that once. It was sooooo funny. So long as it is only him dreaming then. I do worry about him especailly now after everything.

Maybe I'm just noticing things more now that he's on his own again.

Thanx guy's
