18 Month old Siberian Husky: Santa

Santa is a black and white, 18 month old, neutered male. He went into Wood Green animal shelter in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire as a stray. Santa has been given two weeks to be rehomed or he will be PTS. He is not settling in the kennel enviroment and has lost alot of weight in his short time of being there. He stole a can of food the other day and would not allow them to take it back, Wood Green have now labelled him as an agressive dog. Due to this they will not allow him to be rehomed with children. I am happy to sign him out under my name (as I have done so before) if we can find somewhere for this lovely chap to live.
He has been assessed by Tanya Glover and Emma Clarke both have huskies and work at Wood Green and they cannot see any problems with this boy other than him being a normal husky.

If anyone can help Santa please PM me or email me gemmariley1@btinternet.com

More details and photos to follow once they have been received from Wood Green.

I hope you find him somewhere and soon.

I am sorry but I hardly feel that stealing a can of food and refusing to give it up, suggests aggressive, that seems very unfair to label him

Unfortunately YoungStevie it is easy to label a dog as aggressive so they can then do the deaded PTS. Just the same as 'rescues' that label dogs with kennel stress so they can be PTS .....if you catch my drift

Magpye I have replied to your email, twice

Thank you

Gemma

I have an appointment to go pick Santa up from the kennels on new years eve. Hopefully her will settle in with the pack and we'll pass the home check, one way or another Santa will not be beginning 2009 in kennels...

I'll keep you posted.
