Yes it does, unfortunately. The meds only control so much.

This one wasn't too bad, the last one was dreadful as he went face down in the lake in freezing temperatures and ended up in hospital for the day while they scanned and checked him to make sure no secondary drowning and to get the hypothermia under control.

He doesn't know when they are coming and never knows he's had one afterwards.
