Daily Thread Saturday 3rd March

Good morning everyone

I think a complaint will be forthcoming from you all regarding the treatment of Gill. As Griff said it doesn't take long to pack someones belongings to get them home not tell them they are going and then not. I am not surprised she is feeling depressed. Hugs to to all.

Hope you are soon able to access the wider world when you need to Gordon.

Warmer here today and the sun is even trying to come through. Most of the snow has now melted.

Hope all two and four legged are keeping well

Havd a good day and stay safe.

It's still cold here but it has warmed up to +1C. The snow is deep in places, too deep for a comfortable stroll.
Isn't this supposed to be spring?

This confronted me when I opened the back door:

Afternoon Sue, griff and Beseoker.
We have had more snow during the evening yesterday. Parts of the river frozen with snow on top of that have some snowy pictures I will post later.

Yes we are not very happy this is the 3rd time they have done this during her different times in hospital. We want to wait till she no longer needs the care incase someone takes it out on her. Believe me if they did I would step in and give them what for displeasure is voiced but formal complaints will have to wait a while longer yet I think.

We had fun and games last night 2 mini power cuts and it seems to of messed up the boiler. We lost the heating thank goodness for plenty of logs and the burner. Still nothing this morning but we did have hot water. We rung someone today who is coming Monday. We stocked up on logs and guess what gorden tried it again when we got back and the heating is now working again.
We will probably let him come just to check it over. It was serviced 6 months ago. Hopefully a blip with the extreme cold weather and 2 power cuts.

Gordon do hope the snow is thawing and thank goodness the reporters couldn't get to your outpost.

Hope everyone and all four legged friends are well.

Drunk or not you be careful out there it's slippery underfoot even if not ice. Your furry friends would not thank you if you were laid up with a broken leg neither would your Mum & Dad and all of us on here

Casey & Lara had a nice walk along the side of the river Thet, it was frozen over 'tho thawing in places. Met lots of dogs all very amicable and mostly 'off lead' as it's safe and well away from roads.

The 'rat wars' are in full swing, have caught thee mice but no rats grrrrrrr. Yesterday I thought they were comming under the rear fence but on closer inspection today I think they may have built a nest under some old fence panels I was keeping next to the oil tank. Had to lash out on more 'anti vermin' supplies at the garden centre today that has made me determined to get rid of them

Rats love chocolate so might be worth giving that a go in the traps.

Thankfully, despite a bit more snow overnight, we are thawing out and the wind has dropped significantly. Now the bit clean up starts to get rid of the sand and half the beach is on the village green .
