Time was running out for this poor dog...

I was talking to the rescue centre earlier today, and they had just got her out in time... She's very thin - you can see all her ribs... I went to meet her, and took her home... she has the softest eyes, I've ever seen...

They said she's a Mastiff X, but I thought she'd be bigger... Maybe I think all dogs are small, because of Ben...

She was found beside the road, and no one claimed her... She would have been pts later today...

Ben thinks all his Christmases have come at once... He can not leave her alone... I let them play for about an hour, and then I fed them both... Ben's food on one side of the food bin, the girl's food on the other... BUT... Ben is not interested in eating, and won't leave the girl alone... She doesn't seem to mind, just keeps on eating from either bowl... I'm hoping, when she's settled in a bit, she'll put Ben in his place... He's (in my opinion) really annoying... Maybe she's recognising he's just a puppy? Ben keeps licking her lips...

This have come so sudden, I'm not really ready for a new dog... Like, I have no plan...

This girl has had no training.... she'll sit, but that's it, and she gets up immediately.. They reckon she's about 2 years old...

The rescue people said, if it doesn't work out, to bring her back, whether it's in 1 week or 10 years...

I need a name for her!

Good Luck with her, well done. I'm sure a name will pop into your head after a few days when her personality starts to come through

Well done to you for taking her in, she sounds a poppet. Ben will calm down when the novelty wears off.

I agree with the others, a name will come to you, ours have a variety of names they answer to, not just their given name.

I would love to see pictures of her too, perhaps some names might spring to mind.

Oh well done you.

It may seem a bit hard and chaotic at first but she will soon slot into your routine and your other one will calm down a bit and you will wonder what you did without her!
Good luck, remember Dogsey people are here for you if you need it. Well done x
