DAP diffuser

I have 3 quivering wrecks at this time of year and yesterday I bought a DAP diffuser, it arrived today so I plugged it in. It does say in the instructions that it needs to be plugged in a week before Bonfire night so didn't hold up much hope for it to make much difference.

I am in total shock, loads of fireworks have just gone off and Ruby is sat on the sofa without a care in the world. Harvey who by now would be squeezed in to the smallest gap he could find is sat at my feet with his head in my lap and Cassy who normally totally loses it is sat by me slightly panting but nowhere nearly as bad as she usually gets.

I am totally amazed

Update Cassy is now asleep

I tried it for the first time last year and it definitely shows an effect - works very well when you know there are going to be fireworks, but if there any unexpected ones, you don't have time to get it working .

The spray worked well to getting Barney settled in the car.

This year, I am trying something to associate the bangs with the appearance of something that Barney gets excited over. This is in conjunction with DAP, and it seems to be working well .

we've got the DAP difuser too - actually bought it to help alleviate Suki's stress at strangers coming to the door but I have to say it's starting to work wonders - think I've got a Stepford dobermann!!!

At the beginning of the week she was cowering because of the fireworks - tonight she just looked up and went back to sleep. We've also bought the spray and using it on her halti (don't know if it's that or good training/control) but she's like a different dog!

Long may it continue!

Amie,
I think the diffuser only lasts for about a month, so perhaps it has run out before the time it's really needed?
