Griffon Fauve de Bretagne: un-invited guest!

Just taking the dogs out for a walk yesterday when who should we meet in our garden but a Griffon Fauve de Bretagne. Luckily I spotted him before the dogs and we put ours back in the house.

I never met one before but he was a lovely chap, very friendly and a little bit lost. I went up and found a tag on his collar, put a lead on him and lead him away and put him in the Jeep. After phoning the owner, a van arrived with two cheerful huntsmen who explained they had lost 4 and they were part of a pack out hunting (quite a rare sight). The moment before they arrived I noticed a second dog trying to get out of my front gate and join us!

They were amazingly easy going and friendly: a whole pack would be quite a sight! I only got to see five in the van.
