Help needed: Over happy Cavalier!

Can anyone suggest ways of teaching my 3 yr old Cavalier boy (only been with me for a couple of months) to:

1. Not try and snog the judge when on the table?

and

2. Not to get so excited when the judge walks around him after his run out?

I have never had this problem before, though all the other Cavs I have shown, I have trained for the ring myself!

not shown myself but is this not a cavalier trait ??

Most definitely, but one that really needs to be kept at bay for the 15 minutes or so in the ring! LOL!
