Placed despite being run into!

Big show yesterday, Deccy was in Open dog and we had to stand in alphabetical order of surname (which is also ring number order in Ireland). Man behind me insisted on running his dog right up behind Deccy and at one point his dog actually ran into him. Deccy whipped round and gave a warning growl.
I had words with the owner afterwards. His excuse? "Oh, my dog runs soooo fast!" I explained ring etiquette and suggested ways of doing it so as not to annoy the one in front in future!!!! He's new to showing and just up to Open dog so I'm likely to have him behind me in the future too. I hope he takes note!
Despite this, Deccy was 4th and graded "excellent", beating the two that beat him into third last time unfortunately some better ones there on the day from the UK. Great day though, bumped into another Dogsey member (Hi Sue!) and came back sunburned!

Well done to you and Deccy. Hope you don't come across the person too often in the future.

Great news, Gill, despite the learner behind you. Well done, Deccy!

Well done you. I think I would have a jacket made that had "Please keep your distance" embroidered onto the back!

Isn't there a bumper sticker that says that?
This dog only needs 2 more Green Stars then he'll be up to the Champion's class, and as Deccy isn't doing as many shows at the moment - it should be a fairly brief problem! Plus I don't think the current exhibitors in that class will be anywhere near as tolerant as I was!

Thanks to everyone for your kind wishes.
It was a rare show where everyone was nice to me and each other too, can't remember the last time that happened! Makes it a nice day out, then.
