Mac ~ The Absolute Perfect Dog – 2yo Black Greyhound

MAC

Meet Mac, a special little greyhound. Mac is a 2 year old medium sized boy of slight build. He was rescued from bad conditions in Ireland and sadly still has the many scars to prove it. He came to us in awful condition with a dull coat, terrible scars and an open wound which will take time to heal fully. After several months of TLC he now has a lovely black coat with snowflake flecks, and is almost fully recovered.

Despite what he has been through he is THE sweetest, most adorable boy you could wish to meet. He loves people and is very grateful for any bit of fuss you give him . He quietly and gently soaks up all the attention you give him, and with his big, soft eyes its very difficult to stop! Everyone who meets this boy falls in love, he is in every way the perfect dog. He is dog, kid, cat and even guinea pig friendly, walks brilliantly on the lead, has good recall, travels well and is non-destructive in the home. What else do you need!?

Mac dotes on the two children in his foster home (age 5 and 7) and co-exists happily with their cat and guinea pigs. He is excellent in the car, on the lead (he will be able to go off lead once bonded with his new family and in a safe area) and with other dogs and is clean in the house and can be left up to 4 hours with two nice walks a day.

We are looking for a home with at least one other dog for company as Mac developed separation anxiety in his previous home and also broke a toe which is now fully healed. This poor little lad has been through too much in his short life and we are looking for a very special home for him now.

He is very puppy-like and loves to play when he gets to know you. He likes nothing better than snuggling up to you on the settee and settles really well at night although he does prefer to sleep in the bedroom with you!

Mac needs a special family who can offer all the love and cuddles he needs as he has had a run of awful luck and things need to change for the better. The family adopts this little lad will be very lucky indeed.

Mac is currently in foster care in Noroflk, UK. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you are interested in adopting the amazing Mac, please email me for our adoption application form and information pack. Thanks!

~~ KERRY GREYHOUND CONNECTION ~~

Kerry Greyhound Connection is a small voluntary organisation based in County Kerry, Ireland and Norfolk, England. It operates through a network of volunteers spaced over Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. We can look after approximately 70 greyhounds at any one time, in Ireland and the UK.

Each dog is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and given a full veterinary check before being adopted.
We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in Ireland, the UK, Central Europe and the USA.

If interested in one of our hounds, please EMAIL or PM me for our adoption application form and information pack. Once you have filled in and returned the application form, we will then contact you via phone or email to discuss adopting one of our hounds in more detail.

Thank you.

Oh he is gorgeous and I really wish I could afford to take him and give him the forever home he so needs. I know my other rescue greyhound would love another grey for company even though he has my Rottie x GSD they still love thier own kind.
I really couldn't afford the pet insurance for another though so sadly have to be realistic otherwise I would have him here in a heartbeat.
I hope he soon finds that special home he deserves.

Completely smitten
Good luck Mac. If one of our hounds wasnt such a grump I'd be pestering the OH to take me to norfolk to pic up this little guy. As the owner of 4 guinea pigs he sounds like our ideal hound!
