Orijen, Arcana or Royal Canin

I have my 2 giant pups who are just over 3 months old now and have been feeding them on RC giant puppy since I got them at just under 6 weeks old. They like it but having researched the Internet, I am not sure if it is the best.. having looked at Orijen and Arcana too... anyone knows more about these as I would like them to have the best possible and available here in Spain.. any advice appreciated. I know there have been many threads on either one and looked at most of them but still unsure..

a slight misguided train of thought about protein levels i would say

saying that whatever brand it was i would use adult on a giant pup from about 4-5 months onwards

actually if you're going to go with Orijen it's safe to use the large breed puppy because the calcium levels are the same the puppy and adult formulas.
Protein content when coming from real meat is not an issue with growth, it is an old misconception. The reason most puppy foods are no good for giant breeds is because the calcium and phosphorous levels are too high, and some have far too many calories. Orijen Large breed puppy is within safe range.

Orijen Adult: Calcium (min./max.) 1.4 % / 1.6 %
Phosphorus (min./max.) 1.2 % / 1.4 %

Orijen Lg Breed Puppy:Calcium (min./max.)1.5 % / 1.7 %
Phosphorus (min./max.) 1.2 % / 1.4 %

Basically? Make sure you feed a high quality kibble....at least two meals per day, preferably three during puppyhood. No free feeding for giants, as it's always important to know when and how much they've eaten just in case of emergencies. There are some really great foods out there but since you're already looking at the best imo, I'd go with Orijen.
