Just seen dog on the loose, where is the best place to report it?

I was walking Dexter just now; we turned round a corner and there in our path was a big Boxer-type dog...

No collar, nobody nearby. I jumped between the two dogs just as Dexter, who is reactive, started kicking off. The other dog shot him a bemused look and then went trotting off.

Just wondering who to tell about this dog - I'm assuming it might be a stray, but not sure of the best place to call?

You could give Petsearch a call in case someone has reported him missing.

Dog warden during business hours Mon - Fri.

If the dog is on a road then the police as this could cause an RTA so they will ALWAYS come out to dogs on the public highway.

Ah, OK, I didn't know I could get the police to help - many thanks.
