how did u greet? both on leads? csv's can give it the big 'i am' on the lead.

both offlead and able to display bodylanguage would be best.

i fear this sort of meeting will brand her as d.a when shes displaying breed specific behaviour really

maybe try to explain it to them ? hows about an offlead muzzle meet?

I agree she is beautiful and doesn't have the average NID look, though she does remind me of Gill's Sky in the second pic. I think she is a NID x WD, not that it matters. I hope you are given the chance to re home her and all goes well xxxxxxxxx

Yes both on leads which I don't like as Zeph is always better off lead. They said about having one off lead in the paddock and the other on lead the other side of fence, which i'm not sure is fair.
I reckon thats all she was doing, I recognise the behaviour cos it's usually my Zeph doing it! I will push an off lead muzzle meet I think that would be best. Going to call them in a mo to arrange it for tomorrow.

My parents think they aren't taking us seriously cos we're young, it does seem that way!

That is just plain stupid---border aggression and frustration will make it 100 times worse.

Try suggesting that to them---might make them think before they act!

I hope the second meeting goes much better, have they a secure field or area where the dogs can be let off lead together, even if they're muzzled, surely they can tell then, if they would get on? Some dogs do prefer meeting when they are not held back by us humans!

Good luck on next meeting. Sounds like off-lead muzzle would be best. I hope it goes well and she's home with you soon!

Yeah they have a secure area for letting dogs off lead. I definitely agree that would be the best way to do it.

Thanks all!

When I introduced my boys at the kennels I was a bit worried as my boy was only a pup. We put Harry on a longline in an enclosed area they had and let Cooper (my pup) off and let them meet like that, but we still had control if anything happened. Once I knew he wasn't going to attack we let them of and they had a good time running around.

I hope the second meeting goes better for you
