When only a plant pot will do

I have about twenty five nest boxes, but this broody has decided that only a plant pot will do , so we moved the plant pot inside the chicken house for her safety, now we wait and see.

Here is a mallard who's name is little duck, he thinks he is a chicken, we rescued him from the council dump, he had lost his mum, so we brought him home last year and put him under a chicken, in fact it was the little black speckled hen to his right of the photo.



This little Poland brought us a couple of chicks home the other day, i thought i had lost her to Mr fox



And this is Sixpence the turkey, she probably is the oldest living turkey from Kelly's turkey's alive, i know the purebreds live alot longer, but normally these hybrids normally only live several months, my vet couldn't stop laughing when he found out she is eight years old, he said he was amazed she made it to eight months
