Dogs had something different tonight...

well nana picked up some sausages out of the supermarket on the bargain bit, which she said she was going to cook and give to the dogs... i told her dont cook them, just let them have them how they are. she soon came round to the idea

so the dogs hve just wolfed down their raw sausages and their crushed potatoes

Raw sausages are ok provided that a) they do not contain onion and b) you check the amount of rusk they contain.

The premium sausages can be good value (if short dated)

Watch the salt content too! The other day I nearly bought some sausages for myself until I saw they were 26% salt!!!! Fine for the odd treat though

Mine had lamb sausages the other day when they were reduced at Waitrose to quarter price. Not something I would normally feed but doesn't hurt as a one-off. They are really good for hiding tablets in too which was helpful as Cherry is on 2 different sorts at the moment and I try and hide them in her Penne pasta and she knows!
