A few members of another dog forum have got in touch and been told that it's a tongue in cheek, poking fun at designers/fashion "experts" who do feel dogs are fashion accessories. Not that they've portrayed that very well

HAHAAAA - just seen it love the message at the end - not just for christmas!

LOL at the end where the pug is trying to get the ribbon off it's head - thats's something I'd do with Sadie

Tbf - where is there a shop that sells dogs in bags? I love the first little Chi - if I get a Chi - it'll be that one in that colour - whether it works for my outfit or not

They have used the dogs that most people have for fashion accessories though

Just curious, how would you (not just you - everyone) poke fun at fashion designers through an advert like that?

The way I interpret it is that so many people seem to buy a dog to match their shoes that there's almost a call to have dogs in a range of colours for sale next to said shoes or handbags. "Picking up a new pair of sunglasses? Don't forget your matching dog, available in most stores now!", that sort of thing.
