We have 4 or 5 shepherds who take the collies with the greatest working instinct. All the collies are tried with sheep when we first get them to see their potential. Some of the dogs have been retrained as sniffer dog or search dogs, some go to agility or working trial homes, and the others are carefully vetted to make sure they have VERY active pet homes.
