I've PM'd.
Flat Coat Rescue is fantastic. They keep everything inhouse and won't let breeders know if that is what the owner wishes. They are lovely people and are very supportive. They have a list of experienced homes ready and waiting . They can do home to home rehomings or they can bring dogs into kennels (owned by Flat Coat people) until the dog is assessed if necessary and put to the right people.
They are FANTASTIC I can't speak highly enough of them...would these people consider going through the rescue?

oh my Ailsa, the timing of this does seem so...well lets just say what a coincidence.

Whatever happens, I hope the bitch finds a lovely new home.

I know, what's weirder is that I was on the phone to my oH discussing our current dilemma when the thread popped up.....I was discussing how lovely Cosmo is with our son and how much he loves to play....weird.

Whatever happens though I do hope that the people get in touch with FCR rescue I can't praise them enough. If this is the one for us....then I would only do it through the rescue. There needs to be support at both sides of any rehoming like that.
