Google Chrome

There was a very old thread asking if anyone used the above, back when it first came out. As I've just started trying out the "developer's" Linux vresion, I thought I'd see what people think of it these days.

If you follow links from my web pages to my blog to a forum thread on it, there are privacy concerns...

I've been trying Chrome for a few weeks now and it seems good, but not noticably better than Firefox.

Funnily enough I just downloaded it yesterday as my firefox kept crashing - I have no idea why and I hate IE so was lost without a browser and thought of Chrome. So far so good but to be honest I have just used it to..well access websites. Its very annoying having adverts on everything again though as I used Ad block on Firefox. Tried it again this morning and it still crashes. So Chrome it will be

Really? I seem to be noticing quite a speed difference! i.e. Chrome is appreciably faster! Time will tell if I stick with it. At the moment (Especially as I'm using the Linux development version, which seems pretty stable BTW.) I'm just using it for casual browsing & switching back to FF for anything like online transactions, banking etc. Apart from those exclusions, I'm not personally too bothered about the privacy concerns but only because I reckon we're fairly safe with Google not using info for anything nefarious.
